Tangent 3D software has created a rather unique and useful piece of software which is ideally suited to presenting professional looking gallery showings that are fully 3D and immersive. The software is mysteriously called Image Armada and being British in origins I presume the name harkens back to England's superior navel history, which like this program is supreme among many I have encountered over the years. Artists and digital photographers will find the build interface delightfully friendly to use so that with just a little time and effort one can "hang a show" of work that looks surprisingly realistic and provocative. Finished Gallery showings can be compiled into a single executable internet download or an autorun CDROM project. The software features a number of gallery settings with more available online for download. These 'galleries' are texturally customizable from the style of lighting and general ambience to the manner of how you choose to decorate the environments which feature optional plants, furniture and other items. Unlike other great programs like Phota from Whizical, this is not a data basing piece of software for images, but rather a final presentation vehicle for some of your best selected pieces. Most people will enjoy such subtleties as choosing individual mats and frames, embedding Windows Media Files, and selecting the amount of glare that shines off of glass you can choose to mount your images behind! Notwithstanding the power of this program it does require a better than average video card with the 3D graphic lighting capability found on most Video Accelerated cards. As well it needs a speedy processor but more and more computers particularly for gaming are coming out with these as a standard issue. Finally Image Armada allows for a background gallery soundtrack and optionally individual narration tracks to be added to each piece in the gallery, so that viewers can potentially hear a natural fade in and fade out from each piece mounted on the walls. It is quite a feature, so that along with the text overlays and watermark capabilities thrown in, this software is a pretty comprehensive and practical presentation option with many uses to people wanting to display their best work.
